More than 100 cases have occurred, about half of which have been fatal. Most infections have been detected in Point-Noire (see map). Two were reported from Dolisie, and one each in Kayes, Bouenza, Brazzaville, and Mvouiti.

Dengue cases are higher than they have been in the past 20 years, according to the Network of Scientific and Medical Societies of Venezuela. It is believed at least 99,100 people have been infected across the nation since the beginning of 2010, though official case numbers are difficult to confirm. By July 2010, the national case count exceeded that recorded for the entire year of 2009.
