Medical Alerts Congo November 05, 2010 04:02 GMT Polio outbreak Point-Noire An outbreak of "unknown illness" in Congo is now known to be an acute polio situation. More than 100 cases have occurred, about half of which have been fatal. Most infections have been detected in Point-Noire (see map). Two were reported from Dolisie, and one each in Kayes, Bouenza, Brazzaville, and Mvouiti.
