Medical Alerts Egypt October 27, 2010 06:05 GMT Conjunctivitis outbreak in three northeastern governorates There is an outbreak of viral conjunctivitis in the north. Over 1,800 people have been infected. Dakahlia governorate is the hardest hit region, although cases have also been reported in Port Said and Damietta (see map). Some reports suggest the disease has spread to Alexandria. The authorities are further investigating the situation.
